Raw Drinking Reservoir Aeration
At Aquatic Engineering, our aeration systems provide a clean, energy-efficient solution for maintaining water quality in raw drinking water reservoirs. By delivering consistent oxygen throughout the water column, our systems prevent thermal stratification, control algae growth, and reduce taste and odour issues at the source. Built for reliability, our diffusers promote a balanced aquatic environment, ensuring higher-quality source water and more efficient downstream treatment.
A custom 24 Can-Air Mega diffuser aeration system was designed and installed into the Town of Nanton's raw water reservoir as part of the town's drinking water upgrade project. The system was designed by our team of biologists and engineers to ensure that it provides adequate oxygen to help improve the raw water quality. Along with the in-water equipment supply and installation, we partnered with a local construction company to design and construct an impressive 12' x 30' blower building, fully equipped with industrial blowers, after-coolers, heating, and ventilation.
Town of Fleming Drinking Water Reservoir Aeration
Fleming, Saskatchewan
Our team recently completed an aeration design & installation for a rural drinking water retention pond for the town of Fleming in Saskatchewan. This Can-Air Mega Diffused Aeration system, in conjunction with our biologist-recommended algaecide treatment, is implemented to make this water potable again.
MonTerra on Cochrane Lakes Drinking Water Reservoir Aeration
Cochrane, Alberta
We were contacted by the administrators of new development in Cochrane Alberta. This unique community has its own drinking water reservoir and needed aeration to maintain potable water quality in its reservoir. This 19 diffuser system used our made in Canada aeration system. The operator reports that water quality testing results have been great since the system installation.
High Level Drinking Water Reservoirs Aeration
High Level, Alberta
High Level Drinking Water Reservoir was facing challenges with high manganese, hydrogen sulfide odours, and uncontrolled algae with their outdated aeration system. We installed a Can-Air Aeration system in both drinking water reservoirs (13 diffuser and 7 diffuser systems) to address these concerns. Town officials have reported low manganese levels, elimination of smell, and minimal algae growth.
